Roy de Scheemaker

Scheemaker already worked as freelance interior designer while studying at the Utrecht School of Arts. After graduating, he started work at Mazaïrac/Boonzaaijer design agency. He established Studio Roy de Scheemaker in 1995, focusing on interior design with an entirely personal approach. In 2002, he won a design award for a bathroom designed by and for him. 

With his Pallone design, Roy de Scheemaker established his name as a designer of special products. During his study at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht, he worked as a freelance interior designer and when he completed his study, was employed by Mazaïrac/Boonzaaijer design bureau. In 1995, he started his own Studio, Roy de Scheemaker, with which he won an award for the design of a bathroom in 2002.
